Absolute multi-turn encoders
with solid shaft and hollow shaft

In addition to the angular steps per revolution, multi-turn encoders record multiple revolutions. An internal reduction gear is connected to the drive shaft, which records the number of revolutions. Alternatively, this can also be done electronically.

The measured value for multi-turn encoders is therefore made up of the angular position and the number of revolutions. The recorded measured value is also calculated and output via different interface modules depending on the interface. Available interfaces are: SSI, Canopen, CAN SAE J1939, RS485, Profibus, Profinet, Ethercat, Biss-C.
