Explosion-proof incremental

We manufacture encoders with the following types of protection for use in potentially explosive environments:

Ignition protection type EX “d” for use in gas environments
Parts that can ignite an explosive atmosphere are enclosed in a housing (flameproof enclosure) which can withstand the pressure of an explosive mixture inside it if it explodes. This prevents the explosion from being transmitted to the flammable atmosphere surrounding the enclosure.

Ignition protection type EX “d” for use in mines at risk of firedamp:
As soon as an explosive atmosphere is created, the device must be switched off.

Ignition protection type EX “t” for use in dust environments:
This protection is based on limiting the maximum surface temperature of the housing and on restricting dust ingress by using dust-tight (IP 67) housing parts according to EN IEC 60529.
