Our company Industrial Encoder Corporation (IEC) in Canada is the official sales partner for Middex-Electronic GmbH (headquartered in Germany) products in North America.
2024
Product extension of our IS900, IH950, IH103, IH965 series to include the IO-Link interface.
2023
W+S Meßsysteme GmbH celebrates its 30th birthday and GES-Group its 25th.
W+S Meßsysteme expands its product range into interfaces for incremental and absolute encoders; encoders with IO-Link interface will be available to customers and new customers from 2024/2025.
2020
W+S Meßsysteme expands its production facility and invests in machines and equipment for the manufacture of mechanical assemblies.
The product portfolio of W+S Meßsysteme is expanded to include flat-mounted BIG-BORE encoders for OIL and GAS and heavy industry.
2017
W+S Meßsysteme celebrates its 25th anniversary.
2014
Christine Weber, the daughter of the family, joins the family business after successfully completing her engineering studies. The development and production of magnetic encoders begins.
2013
W+S Meßsysteme separates from its co-shareholder and reorients itself. The company establishes new partners in Central and South America in addition to Mexico. The Development team complements the portfolio with magnetic and optical encoders for medical technology.
2008
W+S Meßsysteme expands its product development and develops an OPTO-ASIC with an integrated line driver together with its Canadian partner, resulting in a single-chip rotary encoder with a compact design.
The GES Group expands to include the company ISS “Industrial Sensor Solution” based in France.
2003
W+S Meßsysteme expands its product portfolio to include ATEX and IECeX certified compact incremental and absolute encoders. Quality management according to ISO 9001:2008 and approval for the manufacture of explosion-proof products are realigned and implemented.
2000
After laying the foundation stone for a new 700-square metre production and operating facility in March 1999, W+S Meßsysteme moves into its own premises.
All independent companies join together under the umbrella “GES Group” and complement each other in the global market.
Global Encoder Systems (GES) and Globalencoder are now active and operating worldwide.
1997
In order to meet the demand for compact and flat rotary encoders on the North American continent as well as in England and Scandinavia, Karl-Heinz Weber founds two independent companies:
Industrial Encoder Corporation (CA) and W+S Measuring Systems (UK)
1996
In addition to the direct field sales force, W+S Meßsysteme establishes competent partnerships in Europe and Australia for new customer acquisition and on-site customer support.
1995
Based on a customer requirement, W+S Meßsysteme develops a customer-specific rotary encoder with a low level of vertical integration and produces it in large quantities.
1993
The newly founded W+S Meßsysteme starts with six employees and begins producing its own Photo-Plast code disks and cam disks, which are used in the products of W+S Meßsysteme.
1992
Karl-Heinz Weber founds W+S Meßsysteme in November and begins developing optical incremental and absolute rotary pulse encoders as well as systems for producing cam disks.
